Marisa’s Insider Travel Tips
Take a few moments to read your trip documents. There is a lot of helpful and important information. Before you pack, we recommend that you check your airline’s guidelines regarding baggage allowances and fees.
Travelers are responsible to comply with all destination entry requirements and to obtain all required documentation for the countries that you will be visiting.
Keep passports and important documents, medications and valuables with you at all times, including any required identification and entry visas, if applicable. Carry a printed and digital copy separately from the originals.
Don’t forget to contact your credit cards to alert them that you’ll be traveling to avoid unnecessary fraud alerts and holds on your accounts. We recommend that you bring the phone numbers for your credit cards, just in case.
Remember your chargers, cables and voltage converters so that you can stay connected, read and take pictures. Check with your mobile phone carrier for the best way to avoid expensive roaming or overage charges while traveling.
Advance online check-in is available on some airline websites enabling you to print your boarding passes at home within 24 hours of departure. You will need your airline confirmation or ticket number. You can also go online to check your flight times in case of last-minute flight schedule changes. If your flight itinerary displays a flight as “Operated By” another carrier, you should check-in at the desk of the “Operated By” airline.
Always make sure that you are taking a taxi or transfer from an officially licensed taxi company. If you have purchased your arrival transfer through us, review your travel document for information on where to meet the representative. They will always meet you holding a sign and logo on it. These drivers will be expecting you.
